ABOUT ME
bold - eccentric - maximalist - visual communicator
Hi! I’m Shivangi (pronounced as she-vaan-gee). A bilingual maximalist, I am a soon-to-be- graduate in BA (Hons) Fashion Communication at Northumbria University, Newcastle I believe that who we are and what we do can be the driver for positive change. In my final major project, Kali magazine, I convey this change by voicing against rampant sexism, inequality, and racism: and standing for women and queerfolk everywhere. Moreover, my trend report, the Wasted Earth focuses on the trend of sustainability and how it isn’t a trend at all.

There is a real sense of authenticity and ingenuity in all my projects: my approach in my work has always been imaginative, following a natural curiosity for things against the norm. I am a meticulous and an extremely resilient creative. All in all, I have an affinity for new and unexplored opportunities and I'm ever ready to learn. Whatever be the required job, I give my one hundred per cent and achieve only the best results. Owing to my multifaceted background and diverse work experiences in the fashion industry, I can easily work into deadlines and handle different responsibilities together: efficiently preserving quality in every project.

I come from India, a land of possibilities, cultures, and colours: and that has shaped me to become open-minded and adaptable to any change. I'm very proud of my South Asian heritage and it is truly a great source of inspiration for me. A bold and sociable character, my other interests include documenting some bits of my life through film photography and vlogs, illustrating and making my own typefaces (stay tuned!)! So what say, let’s work together!
